Chandra obtained his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Southern California in 2026. Before that, he completed an M.Tech in Computer Science from the Indian Statistical Institute and a bachelor’s degree from the Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata.

His research focuses on modeling and analyzing high-dimensional biological data, with an emphasis on understanding how their geometric and statistical structure relates to biological meaning. He is currently working on uncovering functional hierarchies in single-cell multi-omics data.
