In collaboration with Chaorong Chen in Dr. Wei Li’s lab at UCI, Guan’ao won the 2022-2023 Interdisciplinary Opportunity Award at the UCI Center for Multiscale Cell Fate. The project title is “Joint inference of cell temporal states and underlying gene-gene associations from gene expression space.” Congratulations!
Chihao, a former visiting Ph.D. student from Dr. Shihua Zhang’s lab, developed the information-theoretic classification accuracy (ITCA), a criterion to guide the combination of ambiguous outcome labels by balancing the prediction accuracy and the outcome resolution.
